At some point in our lives, we all wish to make billions, to be able to spend without checking price tags and be happy. Many of us still daydream about owning luxury apartments and private jets, but you probably have had no luck getting what you want, unfortunately. However, that wasn’t the same with a blonde American guy in a blue suit.
‘If you don’t tell people about your success, they probably won’t know about it’.
These are the words used by America’s former president, politician, and business mogul Donald Trump to describe his success and wealth. He has been the first president in America’s history to make billions of dollars before and during his tenure. And according to him, people should’ve voted for him because he’s rich. Funny guy, Mr. Trump!
An interesting fact about Trump is that he was already rich as a kid, but he wasn’t born a billionaire. He used to work at his father’s real estate company. Who would’ve thought that something as common as a real estate company could expand to make billions? Trump built an empire which he named ‘The Trump Empire.’ And today, he owes $4.5 billion to the Trump Empire. Now the question is, how on earth does he spend his billions of dollars. This article will answer the question, so take a deep look and cherish the feeling of what you don’t have and probably never will.
1. Trump’s Residencies:
After getting employed, the first thing on everyone’s bucket list is getting a house. As for the billionaire community, it’s not just the house; it’s apartments, villas, bungalows, farmhouses, and whatnot. Donald Trump is of the same billionaire kind and prefers his billions secured in residencies. Trump’s residential assets include Mar-a-lago in Palm Beach, Seven Springs in Bedford, Beverly Hills mansion, Charlottesville mansion (the now Trumpyard estate), and a marital home in Connecticut.
2. Trump’s Jets:
You can’t be waiting at the boarding lounge if you’re Donald Trump. With that money, he’d be a fool not to invest in the right thing. But you don’t think Trump has just one jet, that would seem so poor to have billions in your account and “just one” jet. For this reason, Donald Trump doesn’t hesitate in getting his hands on the best aircraft like his Cessna Citation X and Boeing 757. The Cessna Citation costs $7 million, while the Boeing 757 is $100 million. Crazy fact, the Boeing 757 isn’t a private jet, but it’s a private aircraft that can accommodate more than 239 passengers, all in top-notch business class.
3. Trump’s Cars:
With such an exquisite taste in aircraft, you can pretty much imagine Trump’s taste in cars. Unlike normal people, billionaire Trump usually likes to ride in his limousine chauffeured by his driver. Apart from his everyday car, Trump owns some fancy elite vehicles. Some of these high-profile cars include; the Rolls Royce (1965 vintage and the 2015 Phantom), a Maybach, a Ferrari, a Mercedes Benz S600, an SLR McLaren, a Cadillac Escalade, and a Tesla. Trump has had this craze for collecting iconic cars for a very long time now; back in 1997, he bought a Lamborghini Diablo, which cost a fortune. One common thing in all these cars is that they’re all made in the USA. Since the former president is quite patriotic, he prefers cars manufactured in the States only.
4. Trump’s Golf courses:
Billionaires universally have a sweat bond with golf, and maybe this is why it is said to be ‘the game of the riches.’ Trump also has a thing for golf, and he’s good at it, too, so he must’ve thought why not establish a golf course (a dozen would sound appropriate). And if you know Trump a tiny bit by now, you should be well aware of how he likes his favorite things. Trump owns more than 12 golf courses in Florida, Los Angeles, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia. He even has some golf courses in Scotland and Ireland. According to Trump, all his 16 golf-businesses revenue at $550 million.
5. Trump’s Production House:
The former president has some unique interests, and he likes to experience almost everything when it comes to business. This unique interest led him to the television production industry. Remember the super hit reality show ‘The Apprentice; well guess who produced it. This TV show was the main thing that introduced Trump to the whole nation as a producer and a businessman. The show is also mentioned to make more than $213,000. Apart from this reality show, Trump co-owned the ‘Miss Universe’ beauty pageant franchise airing on NBC. This show also brought a great cash flow into Trump’s bank account.
6. Trump’s Yacht:
Owning a yacht is normal for wealthy people, but is it normal to own the third largest mega-yacht for pleasure’s sake? No! Not at all. Trump loves all things big and rich, so was the case with his first-ever mega-yacht. This mega-yacht was so good-looking that it casts a role in the James Bond ‘never say never again’ movie. The yacht Nabila was first built for the Saudi billionaire Khashoggi who later sold it due to financial bumps. Trump bought this big baby in 1987 from the Sultan of Brunei. The yacht cost around $29 million to Trump, but it did cost $100 million to Khashoggi before. He named his new toy ‘The Trump Princess’ and calls it a work of art. A few years later (after getting bored), he sold it for $20 million. This magnificent yacht cruises at 17 knots with a maximum speed of 20 knots. It had 11 luxurious staterooms, 3 24/4 service elevators, a grand movie theater, a disco, a swimming pool, and a helicopter deck.
7. Trump’s Casinos:
Donald Trump loves entertainment and keeps everyone entertained, not only with his jokes but also with his smart investments. Trump owns entertainment resorts that keep others happy and keep his bank balance healthy and wealthy. Among many of his entertainment ventures, one of the most successful was the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City. Taj Mahal is a casino that costs $1.2 billion. Trump mentions his guilt on letting go of the gorgeous casino when it got him fortunes. Besides, Trump owns other lavish casinos under the Trump Entertainment Resort, such as Trump Hotels and Casino Resorts, Trump 29 in Coachella, and Trump Casino and Hotel in Gary, Indiana. He even owned a Trump Castle in Atlantic City but later sold it.
8. Trump’s Hair:
Lastly, Trump never mentions his most prized possession at huge gatherings, his world-famous hair. Trump’s hair has always been the center of media attention and social media memes. And why not? The golden blow-dry costs more than $70,000 and an additional $95,000 on hairstyling by Ivanka. Although, debates about him wearing a wig had sparked some years ago, he clarified by asking an audience member to touch his head and hair. With that much wealth, Trump is justified to spend all his money.
Conclusion:
Ending up the whole thing, billions of dollars can get you everything, but what if you don’t need them. Wants don’t stay forever; needs do. It is better to focus on fulfilling your needs first, later the wants. As Mr. Trump says, ‘Getting rich is easy. Staying rich is hard’. Stick to this piece of advice, and maybe you can be the next Donald Trump (smirk, who are you, Donald Trump Jr.?). On a serious note, you can love or hate him all you want, but the guy owns billions, so take some notes for your own future!
