After receiving his 158-million-dollar extension with the suns, Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns wasted no time upgrading by spending nearly 10 million dollars for a bigger and better mansion in Paradise Valley Arizona.

Devin Bookers cozy and lavish house in Paradise Valley Arizona

NBA wunderkind Devin Booker has fashioned a style with all the elegance of a butterfly within the unforgiving boundaries of a basketball court. The 25-year-old guard for the Phoenix Suns has a smoothness and incredibly quick succession of actions that would make Diaghilev happy. Before the parabola is completed through the basket, the basketball appears to cooperate—as balls seem to do for all great players—when he shoots (in 2018, Booker was crowned the NBA Three-Point Contest champion). While the world is accustomed to watching Booker gliding on a basketball floor, his domestic digs may reveal an even greater understanding of physical detail and body movement in space.

A barefoot Booker leads viewers through his single-story home to one of his home tour videos, which has spectacular views of the Phoenix Mountains Preserve. His home has 12-foot-long sofas, a custom poker table, a floor-to-ceiling wine display, a big pool, and a garage for his automobile collection.

The NBA star discussed his passion for interior design. “I consider myself blessed to be surrounded by stylish individuals.” “I’m like a sponge whenever I walk into my friends’ homes, asking questions and absorbing everything I see”, he told the publication.

“When someone approaches the house, it’s deceiving because it appears there’s not much going on,” Devin commented about the house he bought in 2019. “But once people enter and they see the pool, the yard, and all the adjoining rooms, they’re taken aback. I love how a seemingly straightforward home can still be a big reveal.”

Kathleen and Tommy Clements of Clements Design, a mother-son combination who also worked on Kendall’s Los Angeles home and her mother Kris’ Hidden Hills, Calif. property, adorned the house. A-listers love the business, which has worked with Ellen DeGeneres and Jessica Alba, among others.

“All you need to know about Devin’s eye for design is in the way he dresses,” explains Kathleen Clements, who worked on the house with her son and creative partner, Tommy Clements. “Everything he wears is cool and stylish but in a very natural way. It’s not something everyone can pull off.” Clements and her team outfitted the new home with custom furniture that can accommodate bodies up to seven feet tall, working within the existing architectural environment with L.A.-based Karan Brady Interiors. “Devin loves to entertain, to be around his family and friends. It just so happens his friends are NBA players,” With a smile, Clements says. That required making 12-foot-long sofas and a special poker table for his towering friends, as well as sourcing vintage furnishings that fit perfectly with Booker’s art collection. “Devin is very sophisticated when it comes to design,” Clements continues, “He has an incredible way of combining older items that look lived-in with objects that are very contemporary.”

Devin Booker values the opportunity to welcome his Suns teammates

Devin’s “cool and stylish” home is built to entertain his friends, many of whom are his NBA teammates who are all over six feet tall. Twelve-foot-long sofas for the guys to sprawl out on and a custom poker table with plenty of leg room are among the finishing touches.

A giant sofa, many love seats, a flat screen TV, and a fire place carved into a massive marble divider separate the space from the surrounding living room may be found in the ‘great’ room. The area is flooded with light thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows that provide views of the neighboring mountains. A massive granite coffee table sits in the center of the room, packed with books, plants, and ornamental bowls.

Devin’s home is his retreat amid his intensive NBA seasons, with a large open kitchen and great room for friends to meet, a giant pool that takes up most of his backyard, and a guest house that he turned into a trendy man cave including a pool table and other activities.

“I know this house is something special. During those long stretches on the road, I can’t stop thinking of getting back here,” he told the publication, adding “It’s like something that’s been a part of me my whole life but I’m just realizing it now.”

A swimming pool inspired by the island of Bali, an outdoor fire pit, and a guest house are among Booker’s other notable features. The furnishings in the Clements’ home were found or custom-made to accommodate an NBA-sized frame.

The finished result allows the athlete to realize a hard ambition.

“When I was a kid growing up in Michigan, I’d close my eyes before bed and imagine what my house might one day look like,” he declares “The size or shape of the home would be different depending on the night, but the interiors were always the same: modern with a bit of nostalgia in the mix.”.

James Turrell is one of Devin Bookers favorite artists

A James Turrell LED wall sculpture in Kendall’s dining room is an obvious indication of his presence. In her Los Angeles mansion, the model has one of her own by the artist called “Scorpious,” which she showed off during her home tour video in July 2020. Kendall’s sisters, Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian, have LED wall sculptures by the artist in their homes as well.

During the early days of the pandemic, he went on a road trip with Kendall Jenner to Roden Crater, which is supposed to have influenced the design of the house. From within a volcano, James Turrell created a magnificent art project. He then went on to buy an LED wall sculpture for his dining room, which he describes as “one of [his] favorite elements of the house.”

“It’s one of my favorite parts of the home, having this beautiful piece of art that me and my guests can appreciate while enjoying a meal.”,Devin told the publication.

To the kitchen counter, Thomas Hayes Studio stools in Moore & Giles leather and Keleen Leathers shearling pull up. It’s one of several instances in which Booker uses older, lived-in pieces to juxtapose the home’s more contemporary items. They allow parts to complement each other when blended together.

Booker also enjoys the fact that his home’s inside is something he’s always fantasized of.

Booker had a bed made especially for him

In a tour of his bedroom, Booker reveals that he doesn’t “do anything in here except sleep.” For a 6-foot-5 man, though, any bed will suffice.

His bed, which is in a class by itself, is the most prominent aspect of the room.

“I’ve never had a bed this big in my life, but I got it custom-made,” Booker states.

Booker’s tour included some of his prized possessions, including his shoe collection, which he admitted isn’t as extensive as it once was, and his growing collection of old cars.

He then shows off a walk-in closet where he keeps his footwear collection —”I used to be a lot bigger sneakerhead than I am now” — which includes both new and old shoes, with Converse being his favorite.

Devin Booker’s favorite classic automobile

Asking Devin Booker which of his antique automobiles is his favorite is “like picking your favorite child. You just don’t do that, “he says.

He does, however, have a favorite. It’s Pretty Penny, his first car, a 1959 Chevrolet Impala convertible that he drove to Game 1 of the NBA Finals last season.

“I’m a classic car collector. I think it’s a family tradition, for me, that I took on and honed in on,” he states.

Booker points off his “everyday” Buick Grand National, as well as the GNX variant that typically stays at home, during the garage section of the tour.

“Hopefully one day I’ll get a warehouse and expand even further.”

Booker’s hard work has allowed him to become the architect of his own tale since his spectacular ascension in the NBA. His home is a haven for him, a respite from the high-stress lifestyle of a professional athlete. The youthful celebrity feels the best version of himself at home, with retractable glass walls and a yard that includes a Bali-inspired swimming pool, a bonfire, and a guesthouse:

“I know this house is something special. During those long stretches on the road, I can’t stop thinking of getting back here. It’s like something that’s been a part of me my whole life but I’m just realizing it now.”
