If you haven’t heard of Jake Paul, it’s reasonable to assume that you are a completely normal person. The truth is that unless you’ve spent a significant part of your life watching Vine videos, surfing YouTube channels, or watching Disney’s Bizaardvark, you probably have no idea who he is. But that doesn’t mean he isn’t killing it out there.
Well, Jake Paul announced his intention to depart Los Angeles in late December to pursue a career as a ‘real pro boxer,’ probably in Miami. Jake Paul, a 23-year-old YouTuber, has put his house in Calabasas, California on the market in order to accelerate his transition from YouTuber to boxer. According to TMZ, the 23-year-old athlete offered the large home, which was the subject of an FBI raid in August, for $7 million but now sold for only $6.23 million.
So, stay tuned and watch this video about Jake Paul’s luxury home in Calabasas, California till the end!
Jake Paul: Who is he and why is he famous?
Jake Paul is undefeated in professional boxing, having four knockouts in a row. But how did he become well-known prior to his fighting career?
The Paul brothers are used to being in the spotlight. They’ve been in the public spotlight for a decade, and their “clout” is stronger than ever now that they’ve entered the boxing scene. Logan Paul fought Mayweather on June 6, and his younger brother, Jake Paul, has won four straight fights in his brief boxing career. Jake Paul has become well-known as the “Problem Child” for trash-talking the sport and attracting a lot of attention. So, before he went into the ring, what was he known for?
Disney Calling
Paul portrayed Dirk Mann on the Disney Channel sitcom Bizaardvark for two seasons. His acting career was cut short when allegations of his off-set behavior became increasingly disruptive, despite the fact that his social media subscribers continued to grow.
Paul switched to music after conquering the Vine and YouTube universes. He established Team 10 and released a series of singles, the most well-known of which is “It’s Everyday Bro,” which charted on the Billboard 100 and was certified platinum.
Music career with platinum records
The song, which has over 70 million views, wasn’t without its critics; it was once one of YouTube’s most disliked videos. Despite the unfavorable reviews, rapper Gucci Mane collaborated with Team 10 on a remix of “It’s Everyday Bro.”
Paul had a few additional singles on YouTube that he would later remove. He had dipped his toes into the world of boxing by that time.
His YouTube career has been nearly unstoppable. He has earned a living as a vlogger and has dominated social media. While some may deny Paul’s fighting experience, he continues to add to his resume as the competition grows more difficult.
In 2018, he began his fighting career.
Paul’s debut fight was an amateur contest against Deji Olatunji, YouTuber KSI’s younger brother, in which he defeated Olatunji by TKO and swiftly advanced from novelty to professional.
After the victory, Paul turned pro, and his first official fight was against AnEsonGib, another YouTuber. Paul TKO’d “Gib” in just over two minutes, and the legend began to grow.
His next opponent was Nate Robinson, a former NBA standout. The battle went viral not because of Paul’s pranks or antics, but because of a vicious right hook that took Robinson to LaLa Land and landed him on the wrong side of meme immortality.
When Woodley stated that he believed he had won the fight and suggested a rematch, Paul added some spice to the events. He promised the Missouri native that he would consider a rematch if he got the tattoo “I love Jake Paul” as agreed upon in a bet before to the fight.
Even though Paul didn’t seem interested in a rematch, Woodley got the tattoo a month after the fight. Paul’s intended opponent for Saturday’s Showtime event was Tommy Fury, Tyson Fury’s half-brother, but the British fighter withdrew out at the last minute, allowing Woodley to step in as Fury’s replacement.
Jake Paul Loses a Big Deal on a Calabasas Mansion
The YouTuber’s longstanding property in Calabasas has sold for $6.15 million, which is a lot of money but also $775,000 less than what Paul spent in 2017. When you factor in taxes, high realtor costs, renovations, and four years of upkeep, the overall loss is likely to be in the seven-figure range. The identity of the discount buyer is still unknown.
Last December, Paul revealed his plans to sell in an emotional YouTube video, calling it “one of the hardest decisions he’s ever made.” The 24-year-old also revealed he’d be trading SoCal for Miami, leaving behind the “distractions” of L.A.’s party scene — as well as those pesky FBI raids — in order to pursue his dream of becoming a “legitimate pro fighter.”
The 15,000-square-foot hulking beast of a house, built in 1990 and aesthetically unclear in design, stands in a small guard-gated enclave out in a very remote portion of Calabasas. The place has a four-car attached garage and is blessedly separated from its neighbors behind a long driveway and a parking lot-sized motorcourt. The landscaping of the front yard is defined by a few palm trees and a large area of grassy lawn.
The bulbous, many-columned house opens to a large foyer with a grand staircase on the inside. The neo-Palladian windows in the double-height living room lead to a second living room with a fireplace and more neo-Palladian windows. A third living room — or perhaps a family room — with a coffered ceiling and built-in cabinetry, as well as French doors leading to a terrace, is also available.
The kitchen has top-of-the-line stainless appliances, and the surrounding breakfast area and formal dining room also feature French doors leading to al fresco dining patios. A movie theater, a gym, and guest quarters are also located on the lower level.
The octagonal master bedroom on the upper level connects to a private balcony with spectacular view of the rough hills surrounding Calabasas. The master bath includes a glass shower with enough room for Paul and at least five guests, as well as stone floors and a sitting area with a beverage refrigerator. There are two walk-in closets, one with custom cabinetry and the other without.
Two different BBQ centers, service the numerous loggias and patios in the back. A quiet pool area sits off to one side of the terraced, 3.5-acre yard, while another flat grassy pad with ample space for a tennis court is down a few more flights of stairs.
The listing was held by Josh and Matt Altman of the Altman Brothers Team at Douglas Elliman, while the buyer was represented by Victor Mansour of Coldwell Banker.
Jake Paul’s Raid at his Calabasas house
In July 2020, the YouTuber took use of all that room by throwing a large party, despite the coronavirus outbreak in Los Angeles, which received international attention. Paul has also been known to upset his neighbors with his wild behavior and extravagant parties.
Following Paul’s arrest in Scottsdale, Arizona, after a protest in memory of George Floyd, the FBI raided the mansion in August 2020. Federal agents walked out of the home with multiple firearms, and the raid was sparked by footage Paul posted that appeared to show him joining a riot in a Scottsdale shopping mall.
FBI officials served a search warrant at YouTube celebrity Jake Paul’s spacious Calabasas home on January 20, 2020, collecting many firearms in a raid linked to a brawl at an Arizona shopping mall, according to the bureau.
“The FBI is investigating allegations of criminal acts surrounding the incident at Scottsdale Fashion Square in May 2020,” the bureau said in a statement, adding that a search warrant was also obtained in Las Vegas, but no arrests were planned right away. There were no other specifics provided.
Authorities confiscated many firearms scattered across the Calabasas property, including a long rifle propped up against a hot tub in the backyard, according to AIR7 HD. According to Paul’s counsel, he was not at home at the time of the raid. Following a brawl at a mall outside of Phoenix in early June, Paul was charged with misdemeanors. Paul claimed he was only looking for people who were protesting George Floyd’s death.
Paul was identified as a participant in the riot at the area, according to the Scottsdale Police Department, and was charged with criminal trespass and unlawful assembly.
Paul denied looting, saying he just wanted to “share our experience and raise greater attention to the anger felt in every neighborhood we passed through. “Scottsdale police said in a news release that the local charges had been dropped.
“It has been decided that in the cases charging Jake Paul, Arman Izadi and Andrew Leon it is in the best interest of the community to dismiss misdemeanor charges without prejudice so that a federal criminal investigation can be completed,” the police statement said, referring to Paul and two others who had been charged in the case.
So, what are your thoughts about this? Are you a Jake Paul fan now and what are your thoughts on the house?
