7. Jacob & Co. Billionaire Watch – $18 Million
Jacob & Co., sometimes known as “Jacob and Co” or “Jacob and Company,” is a privately held jewelry and watch company founded by diamond designer Jacob Arabo in 1986. Manhattan, New York City, is home to the company’s flagship boutique and corporate offices.
Jacob & Co was able to overcome this challenge by mastering its gem-setting expertise and presenting ultra-high-end watchmaking in a previously unimaginable setting. As much as it creates inimitable beauty, the resulting contrast between two distinctly different, yet equally fascinating crafts creates tension.
The Billionaire watch, which is made of 260-carat emerald cut diamonds, lives up to its name. The timepiece’s magnificent 260-carat emerald-cut diamond bezel would entice watchers in the ballroom or any other gathering of billionaires. This timepiece screams luxury and exclusivity.
It has a stunning skeleton face and is a sparkling depiction of Jacob & Co.’s brave and rebellious personality. The skeletonized dial serves as a reminder that this is a watch, and one of the most expensive ones in the world. A Billionaire’s Watch by Jacob & Co. is a costly watch, but not if you’ve already invested in other high-end products like a luxury private plane.
Wearing this watch will attract a lot of attention and is sure to stir a conversation!
6. Patek Philippe Henry Graves Supercomplication – $24 Million
Patek Phillippe, founded in 1839, is one of the world’s oldest watchmakers, with a continuous history of producing timepieces. It has over 400 retail locations in North America, Europe, Oceania, and Asia, as well as over a dozen distribution centers.
The Henry Graves Supercomplication, made for a wealthy American banker of the same name, is the costliest Patek Philippe watch on our list.
The Philippe Supercomplication is unmistakably a pocket timepiece. Sheikh Saud Bin Mohammed Bin Ali Al-Thani of the Qatari royal family bought the watch from Sotheby’s in 1999. And, wouldn’t you know it, the watch had to be returned to Sotheby’s a few years ago as part of a debt repayment. This explains how it ended up back in Sotheby’s hands and how they were able to resell it. Sotheby’s understood that Patek Philippe auction values had risen considerably over the previous 15 years, and because 2014 was the Swiss watchmaker’s 175th anniversary, it seemed like a good time to try their luck with perhaps more solvent clients.
This complex clock has 24 complications, including a perpetual calendar, minute repeater with Westminster Chimes, sunrise and sunset times, and a celestial chart based on the night sky over the owners’ New York residence.
5. Chopard 201-Carat Watch – $25 Million
Chopard is primarily recognized for producing high-end Swiss timepieces and jewelry. It makes over 75,000 watches per year and is a member of the Swiss Watch Industry Federation. Chopard is known for producing timepieces that are superior to the competition. Every timepiece in the company’s line is not only of exceptional quality, but it also has a distinctive design that sets it apart from others. This is especially true of Chopard’s 201-carat watch, a glittering accessory released in 2000 that redefines luxury.
So, what is it about this piece that makes it so unique? The watch is adorned with a plethora of colored diamonds in a variety of unique hues and fascinating forms, which contribute to the watch’s glitzy appeal – and worth.
In fact, after the $55 million Hallucination by Graff, the watch is worth a stunning $25 million, making it one of the most expensive timepieces ever. However, rest assured that the totally handcrafted timepiece is well worth the price. It comprises 874 high-grade diamonds of various colors and sizes, according to Rich Glare.
An internally flawless heart-shaped pink diamond weighing 15.37 carats, a 12.79-carat heart-shaped blue diamond, and a flawless heart-shaped D-color diamond weighing 11.36 carats are set in the shining white gold and yellow gold hardware. Each of these stones is set in a bracelet that also includes clusters of 260 pear-shaped D-color flawless diamonds and 91 round D-color flawless diamonds totaling 10.29 carats, grouped in floral designs with a round 8.81-carat yellow diamond in the center. A total of 26 pear-shaped yellow diamonds weighing a total of 17.07 carats are strewn over the bracelet.
Even if the aim of the clock isn’t to keep time, all of this adds up to a very pricey timepiece. If that isn’t enough, maybe another 163 carats of white and yellow diamonds will suffice!
4. Jaeger-LeCoultre Joaillerie 101 Manchette – $26 million
Jaeger-LeCoultre boasts 400 patents, over 1,200 different calibers, and hundreds of inventions under its belt after over 200 years in business. Richemont, a Swiss luxury conglomerate, presently owns the company.
Okay, here’s the deal: renowned watchmaker Jaeger LeCoultre created this masterpiece for the one and only Queen Elizabeth II to commemorate her reign’s sixtieth year. So, it’s no wonder that it’s one of the most popular watches.
With its completely unique profile, created from gold and boasting a series of well-polished and diamond-set links, as well as a small caliber 101 movement (among the world’s tiniest), you truly deserve to wear it to special state occasions and historical places.
The clocks listed above are pricey, but they’re well worth the money. Their creators employed the finest materials and meticulous craftsmanship to create them for your enjoyment and admiration.
3. Breguet Grande Complication Marie-Antoinette – $30 Million
Breguet is one of the oldest surviving watch companies, as well as a pioneer of various watchmaking inventions, including as the tourbillon, which was invented by Abraham Breguet in 1801.
The Breguet Marie-Antoinette Grande Complication Pocket Watch was commissioned by the admirer of a French queen in the 18th century. It is distinguished in every manner. The exquisite pocket watch is encased in gold and displays the sophisticated mechanics inside.
The watch was first created in 1782 and took over 40 years to complete.
It was finished in 1827 and was a true work of art in terms of design and technology, with every function possible at the time.
As a result, when the clock was finished, both Queen Elizabeth II and her beloved were already dead. We’d still say it was well worth the wait. This costly timepiece is a must-have with its spinning bezel and skeletonized display that displays an astounding assortment of mechanisms.
2. Graff Diamonds The Fascination – $40 Million
Graff is a London-based British international jeweller. Laurence Graff, a British jeweller, launched the company in 1960. Graff’s operations include the design, manufacture, and retail distribution of jewelry and watches, making it a vertically integrated firm.
If you have $40 million stashed away in a drawer and want traditional-looking diamonds, this is the watch for you.
Graff Diamonds has the solution: a watch with a replaceable component that can be turned into a ring. The Fascination watch is made up of 152.96 and nine carats of white diamonds, with a 38.13-carat D Flawless pear-shaped diamond in the middle, cut and polished by Graff at their workshops. This pear-shaped work of art can be worn as a watch dial in a highly architectural diamond chain or removed and worn as a ring.
The metallurgy and gem setting on the bracelet that holds the watch in its center is exquisite. Creating a stunning diamond bracelet that is also comfortable and adaptable is no easy task.
The latest piece, according to Laurence Graff, founder and chairman of Graff Diamonds, is intended to show the brand’s tight relationships between its London-based diamond house and its Swiss timepiece atelier. “The Fascination is an excellent item,” Graff adds, “perfectly made so it may be worn in a variety of ways, bringing a touch of magic to the jewel.”
What a deal on a watch and a ring!
1. Graff Diamonds The Hallucination – $55 Million
The Graff Diamond Hallucination holds the record for most expensive watch ever made, with a price tag of $55 million. However, the term “watch” can be used very loosely in this context. A small quartz dial surrounded by small pink diamonds can be seen right in the center of the piece among the myriad of breathtakingly beautiful diamonds.
The value of this timepiece is determined by what is around it, not by the quartz dial in the center. A plethora of Fancy Vivid Yellow, Fancy Intense Blue, Fancy Light Grey Blue, Fancy Green, Fancy Orange, and, of course, Fancy Intense Pink, and Fancy Light Pink diamonds make up the Graff Hallucination. The total weight of the diamonds on this watch is 110 carats. A wide range of cuts, including marquise, radiant, pear, round, and heart-shaped diamonds, have been used to enhance its beauty.
